Growing up I never envisioned myself where I am right now. Of course travelling sounded cool and fun, but I thought it would be later in life and more of a bi-yearly type thing.

As of now, I have been to 29 countries.

22 of those places – I have been to in the last 2 years.

I started off backpacking Asia before the big move to Kuwait. I spent three months there before coming back to Canada and then a week later I hopped on a plane to move to the land of privilege. Pretty soon I was planning weekend excursions to Dubai, Christmas retreats in Ubud, and attending Oktoberfest in Munich.

Oh and I kissed the Sphinx – he really is a frisky pussycat.

Despite all these amazing experiences.

I am not immune from the “western privilege disorder”. I complain all the time, I have frequent bouts of unhappiness, and a consistent want of new things. Travelling is great, it’s mind blowing and yes it will change you

BUT.

It is also exhausting, expensive, sometimes dangerous and other times lonely.

So my promise to you is that I will try my hardest to not only talk about the time I partied on a 3 story yacht in Dubai…..

I will also tell you about the time, I had a knife pulled on me in Cambodia, by a 13 year old scam artist.
